Not easy interface...

The program is great and useful, but the interface is not very easy to use... for instance, it's difficult to scroll the graph when I have a selection (the selection disappears!), and the shortcuts keys for the controls (play, stop, etc), aren't very intuitive. The [space] key for play/pause works very weird too...

I use the program for edit sounds (cut, mix, loops, etc.), and save them for use in flash animations... It's useful for me to open sounds in different formats like mp3, wav, aiff.

Love Wave Pad but there are failings...

It needs filters to get rid of excessive bass that seems to be prevalent on any files that are downloaded from the internet... The built-in volume filter could do with some tweaking as it is easy to distort sound with it... Now we need a similar free tool to handle videos!

good for no-serious users

As a no-serious user, I wanted a capability to manipulate lengths, change a file format and use a noise reduction. So far it did everything that I wanted. The interface was intuitive and a simple task was done quite easily. The help section was easy enough for me to follow for more complex tasks.

I tried a noise reduction for a recorded voice with lots of noise. It works but the result was not satisfactory. The program seems to do all the functions that it is supposed to do. Maybe it was impossible task to start with.

The other functions tested were amplification and normalization and they worked great. Overall, I find the software quite solid.

Using WavePad with an 16000 hz file.

Yesterday I have downloaded WavePad Audio Editor and processed an audio file which I couldn't with any other software. It was a 16000 hz mono audio file. I needed to cut last two minutes of file and even with Wavelab or Cubase I couldn't do it. Thanks for your software which could solve the problem. And thanks for releasing it free too.
